Make Ubuntu 16.10 ready for programming purpose

Few years back when I used be a Windows user, I used to do my every work on it weather it's day to day stuff or programming, but the main problem was that in my laptop windows hangs a lot and consumes a lot of resources( especially RAM) and also the size of software packages  are large on windows. Thus I switched to Ubuntu and it's very easy to use and resource friendly.

So as Computer Science student I usually need to do a lot of programming and thus for that we need to install softwares and procedure to install most common of them are listed below.

But before that you must set ubuntu to download software from other sources. Press ubuntu dash option and search "Software & Updates" without quotes and open it. Then go to "other softwares" menu and check "Canonical partners" if it is not checked by default as shown in picture below(You might see lesser options). Then close the menu (It might ask for your password if not running as root user) and…

[Which is better] Ubuntu Gnome vs Ubuntu (unity)

Hello everyone, well it's been a long time, I didn't wrote any blog. The reason for the same is that I was meshing up with my laptop in try new Operating systems.

I'm a person who really don't like windows ( except in terms of Visual Studio because it is the best IDE I have ever used.)

I'm a Linux lover specially Ubuntu. I have tried several Linux destros in recent years including Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Red Hat, BOSS, Kali and many more.

Recently I installed Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 on my laptop instead of regular Ubuntu 15.10 with unity desktop and experienced a great difference in terms of performance and usage.

Before Proceeding I will like to tell you that I'm running Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 64 bit in dual boot with Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 64 bit on Acer emachines E732Z with

[Debate on] "Skill based Education is a Gateway to Global Success"

"The main of education should be to teach us how to think, rather than what to think. to improve our minds, so as to enable us think of ourselves, rather to load our memory with the thoughts of other people"

with these words from renowned poet I greet everyone a warm welcome. Today we will have contention in favour of the topic "Skill based education is a gateway to global success".

People often try to overload our mind towards the need of knowledge based education but they might have forgotten that the given topic cardiolates the interest of two sub topics that are:
"Skilled Education" "Global Success" Few years ago in the past UK decided to experiment on its students to judge which is better "Skilled based education " or "Knowledge based education" and as a result "Dual system of vocational education and training" came into existence which depicts the importance of "skilled education " for global competit…

[How to] install Remastersys on Unbuntu 14.04 [Linux] with GUI support

All of you might want to backup your system into a boot-able ISO file which can further used to create your own Linux destro your backup of your system which can used to recover files in case your system crashes.
OS geek like me very frequently shifts from one OS to another and every time we install an an OS then we have to reinstall of all the packages and softwares. Well there is a remedy to this problem for Ubuntu[Linux] users i.e "Remastersys".

remastersys was a free and open source program for Debian, Ubuntu-based, Linux Mint or derivative software systems that can:

Create a customized Live CD/Live USB (a remaster) of Debian and its derivatives.
Back up an entire system, including user data, to an installable Live CD/DVD.

You can read further about remastersys here

Well now it is hard to find remastersys for Ubuntu 14.04/Linux deb package
But the solution shown below works .

Step 1:

Step 2:

[How to] Connect an android device [using MTP] on Linux [Ubuntu 14.04 LTS] 100% working

I recently moved to Linux[Ubuntu 14.04 ] from windows 8.1 because it hangs a lot on my lappy. Apart from the cool features of Ubuntu , one thing was annoying me that I was unable to connect my android phone [Asus zenfone 4 TOOi] and thus was unable to transfer any files via usb using MTP. After searching a lot I finally got the working answer on which I'm again explaining it here again as simply as possible.
First of all you must have an active Internet connection.
Step 1:
First we need to install some necessary tools for MTP detection in Linux[Ubuntu]
open terminal and type the following command

 sudo apt-get install libmtp-common mtp-tools libmtp-dev libmtp-runtime libmtp9

 sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Step 2:
Now we need to get vender and product ID
For that attach your android MTP device to your Linux system.
Type following command in terminal

My output was as follows

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0020 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 002 Device 001: …

Well I really don't know how old or new this terminology is. I came across this when one of my faculty asked me about it but I unable to answer it. So just like other curious and lazy students, I googled the term to to get  a small  knowledge about it.

Today I'm going to share with the same knowledge I captured from some scratch resources.

Me versus myself

This post again revolves around the "ordinary kid" the same as in the poem "Everything left behind" which I wrote as a page few months ago .
The story is nearly of 19 years ago .
A woman in some small town of Rajasthan village gave birth to a boy.
The woman already had 2 girl child and her economic condition was not so good .
That woman also had a younger sister who once had a miscarriage and then after that never got pregnant. She asked her elder sister to adopt her youngest child which she frequently gave birth.
The elder sister denied to give her child forever to her but she had a proposal.
She said to her younger sister that she could take the child for some time to nourish him in return of some money.
It's hard to believe but the elder sister gave her child to younger sister in change of some money .The younger sister lived with her husband in some hilly areas of j&k as her husband was in military and was posted there. There were no elders in there hous…
